💙 My Million Makers Challenge Fundraiser
This year I’m proud to be taking part in Atos’ Million Makers Challenge, raising funds for The King’s Trust, which supports young people across the UK to build the confidence and skills they need to live, learn and earn.
As part of this, I’m leading our Summer Reading Challenge; a simple, flexible initiative designed to keep children engaged in reading over the summer holidays, when routines change and reading can sometimes slip.
The idea is simple: children set their own personal reading goal and can read anything they enjoy - from books to comics to audiobooks - making it easy to fit around family life.
📚 Why this matters to me
This challenge is especially close to home. My two boys took part in 2025, and their reading came on in leaps and bounds over the summer. Not only that, they raised money for The King’s Trust and even received a letter from Buckingham Palace - very exciting!
🌟 Get involved
If you’re looking for a way to keep your children reading this summer while supporting a fantastic cause, we’d love you to get involved.
Every child who finishes their challenge (and has a donation logged against their name) will receive a completion certificate and will be entered into a prize draw to win a book, kindly signed and donated by Julia Donaldson (author of The Gruffalo) as well as a 6-month reading subscription.
Families taking part make a small donation (typically between £5–£25) to support The King’s Trust, helping young people who need it most. Children might like to raise donations through summer sponsorship.
💷 Supporting The King’s Trust
Every contribution makes a real difference, helping young people from disadvantaged communities access opportunities and build brighter futures.
