Having just completed Million Makers 2024, I was surprised by how much my recent experience helped when mentoring a new team for Million Makers 2025. Drawing on what I'd learned, I was able to support the team in meaningful ways.Mentoring is a great way to build leadership skills. It's about guiding others, not giving orders - a kind of hands-on management experience that's hard to find elsewhere. If you're looking for a way to stay involved with Million Makers, I highly recommend mentoring. You'll make a bigger impact than you expect, and you'll grow in the process.

Taking part in Million Makers has had a massive impact on my personal and professional development. The experience pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped shape my career, building my confidence, encouraging me to be more assertive, and strengthening my presentation and engagement skills. Since completing the programme, I've been keen to give back and have volunteered to support the next Taylor Wimpey Million Makers team as a mentor, helping others make the most of their own Million Makers journey.

Participating in the Million Makers Challenge was a highly rewarding experience. It allowed me to take part in a "mini project" from start to finish and be involved in various disciplines which I don't typically encounter in my day job, such as finance and marketing. This experience taught me a lot and allowed me to form new connections while supporting The King's Trust's commendable work.

I had an amazing experience participating in Million Makers in 2020. It really pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop my negotiation skills by speaking to suppliers and people in my wider network. Through this experience, I gained valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and project & budget management, which I know have benefitted me both personally and professionally. I am now a member of the Alumni Network because I wanted to stay involved with The King's Trust.
