Turning Surplus into Smiles at Shustoke Primary

Friday 24th Jul

One of the most rewarding parts of our Million Makers journey is seeing how simple ideas can make a real difference. Last week, we helped deliver surplus materials to Shustoke CofE Primary School, where they'll be transformed into exciting outdoor learning and play features, including marble runs and creative activity spaces.

A huge thank you to Site Managers Alex, Josh and Chris, Customer Care team members Maria, Lily and Paul, and volunteers Sophie, Charlotte and Dan for giving their time and support. It's fantastic to see materials being reused in a way that benefits both the environment and the local community, creating opportunities for children to learn, explore and play.

As part of the Taylor Wimpey graduate team, I'm proud to be taking on The King’s Trust Million Makers Challenge. Throughout the year, we're working together to raise £50,000 while delivering projects that create a lasting positive impact on our communities and the environment.

For me, this challenge is about more than fundraising. Through our Your Impact campaign, I'm helping to support initiatives focused on wellbeing, biodiversity and community engagement, while also raising money for The King’s Trust and the incredible work they do to help young people build confidence, develop skills and access new opportunities.

Any support is greatly appreciated and will help us make an even bigger difference.
