About our cause
Today, over a million young people aged 16-24 are not in education, work or training. For too many this causes feelings of isolation, poor mental health and a loss of confidence. For some, they face practical challenges of poverty and a lack of opportunity.
The situation is often worse for young women. Our research shows that young women are more likely than young men to feel hopeless about their futures. Many also fear that they will never be financially secure due to the cost-of-living crisis. Even if they are in work, caring for someone or paying for childcare means many are forced to give up their jobs, or slow down their careers.
By donating to our Change a Girl’s Life appeal, you can give young women a working future through training courses with potential employers, access to job opportunities and support with practice interviews.
