My Updates

Week 1: done!

Sunday 8th Feb
Well, it’s been a very wet start to the walking challenge. I don’t think I’ve done any walks in the first week that haven’t resulted in me being soaking wet through with my feet covered in mud. I’ve also been dealing with a cold which started on exactly day 1 of the challenge (thanks for that). Thank you to everyone that has sponsored me so far, I really appreciate the support and you helped me reach 3rd place in the fundraising chart this week! 💖 The thought that people have donated their hard earned cash has without doubt kept me disciplined in getting out everyday. It genuinely matters and your money will make a real difference to the lives of the young people we support. Come on then week 2, let’s be having you 😄

1st day challenges…

Sunday 1st Feb
If you were thinking of donating at any point during this challenge then today would be the day. it’s the 1st day of the stepping challenge and I’ve woken up feeling so unwell! My throat is on fire and I have the chills and I could do with that extra motivation. I’ve just been out and done half my steps, I’ll work on finding the energy for the other half this afternoon. I’ve got this (I think) 🙏🏻

Excited to get started!

Saturday 31st Jan
During the month of February I’m taking on a stepping challenge for the charity I work for, and I wanted to share a little bit about why it means so much to me. I joined the organisation last year, and in that short time I’ve already seen the real difference it makes in people’s lives. Our work focuses on tackling youth unemployment — something that can have such a huge impact on confidence, opportunities, and future stability for young people. Being able to play even a small part in helping someone find direction, skills, or their first job is incredibly rewarding. What makes this challenge even more special is the team behind it. Everyone I work with is genuinely passionate about what we do. It’s not just a job to them — it’s a mission. That shared energy and commitment is inspiring, and it’s one of the main reasons I feel so grateful to be part of this charity. The stepping challenge is a simple idea: move more, raise awareness, and hopefully raise some funds along the way. Every step represents progress — not just physically, but symbolically too. Just like the young people we support, progress doesn’t always happen instantly; often it’s built from small, consistent steps over time. By taking part, I hope to contribute in a fun and healthy way while also shining a light on a cause that truly matters. Thank you to everyone who offers encouragement or support — it all helps us continue making a positive impact and opening doors for young people who deserve the chance to build their futures.
