Ceo Challenge

50 SENIOR LEADERS, UNITED AGAINST YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT.

Thank you to our incredible inaugaral team of senior business leaders, who to celebrate our anniversary, united as a team to take on The King's Trust CEO Challenge - with a shared vision of ending youth unemployment!

The team of leaders successfully took on a three-day, two-night Scottish Highlands challenge, stepping away from the boardroom and into the wild. This was more than an adventure, it tested resilience, teamwork and leadership in one of the UK’s most remote and breathtaking landscapes.

If you'd like to be part of our next Leadership Challenge, please contact us at CEO.Challenge@kingstrust.org.uk.

UNITED AGAINST YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT

The challenge offered a rare opportunity to disconnect from the boardroom and connect with a cause that truly matters. The team built meaningful connections, whilst experiencing firsthand the remarkable work of The King’s Trust.

They've also raised significant funds to help The King's Trust build the nation's future workforce, at a time when over 900,000 young people are out of work.

Jonathan Townsend, Chief Executive, The King's Trust

“We arrived at Inverness Airport as a team of 50 business leaders taking on a challenge, but somewhere along the way, those acquaintances became friendships. I’ve been inspired by the generosity, determination and camaraderie of this incredible group, who have raised more than £750,000 to help young people build brighter futures.

What makes me most excited
isn’t just what we’ve achieved, but what comes next. This feels like the beginning of something special, and I know there is so much more we can do together to support the next generation.”

Our Partners

A huge thank you to our partners, whose generosity supported the CEO Challenge and our mission of ending youth unemployment.

Thank you to Octopus Electric Vehicles for being our green transport provider for the duration of the CEO Challenge. Octopus Electric Vehicles will shuttle our team members in style, from the airport to the start line, as well as from the finish line back to the airport. Not only that, but they’ve committed to providing an opportunity for young people to visit their offices, to learn more about the world of electric vehicles and careers in the field.

Thank you to Mountain Warehouse for donating the camping equipment and apparel, bringing comfort and style to our team members on the CEO Challenge. Afterwards, the camping equipment will be used on outdoor courses for young people, through our Explore and Team programme. Getting young people outdoors will provide team building and confidence-boosting activities, essential to getting young people ready for work.
