🍰 Celebrating Women, Empowering the Future: My Brilliant Tea & Cake Afternoon
With International Women’s Day 🌸 and Mother’s Day 💐 both falling this month, I’ve been reflecting on how we can celebrate the incredible women in our lives while extending a helping hand to the next generation.
To mark the occasion, I am hosting a Brilliant Tea & Cake Afternoon on Saturday 21st March to raise vital funds for The King’s Trust.
Why I’m Fundraising
At The King’s Trust, the belief is simple: every young woman should have the chance to succeed, regardless of her background or the challenges she may face.
We all know how daunting the start of a career can be. The funds raised through this event will help young women launch the future they want, through access to courses, grants and mentorship. The King’s Trust provides the skills and confidence needed to not only get into work—but to truly soar.
A Slight Twist on a Great Campaign
The official national campaign is for a "Brilliant Breakfast." However, as I know just how much we all juggle as mothers, friends and colleagues, I decided to put a little twist on it! I felt a low-key afternoon tea ☕️ and cake 🍰 would be a much needed way for us to take a breather, catch up and celebrate our community together.
How You Can Help
My goal is to raise £100 to give more young women the support they need to get back on their feet and into the workforce.
