Me VS 10,000 steps

At a time when 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work – enough to form the UK’s third biggest city! The King’s Trust are committed to ending youth unemployment, and I’m doing my bit to support.

As part of my UK Enterprise Training Team and the King's Trust's 50th Anniversary Year, I am taking on the Future Steps challenge – completing 10,000 steps a day throughout February and raising vital funds to support young people across the UK.

A donation of just £12 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a young person facing adversity to gain the critical advice they need.

Every penny raised will help break down barriers, open doors and support young people to build the confidence and skills they need to find work. Please consider donating to my page.

Thank you.

My Updates

A family affair

Monday 2nd Feb
Day 2 ✅ Up at 6.30am, accompanied my darling cub to the local shop then his train station at 7.40am. Autustic and not a morning person, I was thank to be welcomed to walk alongside. turns out he’s so proud of me he wants to support me doing 10,000 steps a day 💙 bursting with joy 💙 I continued my walk to the local castle then went past the Cenotaph and gave a wee salute to dad who passed say in November. he took me there at 4 yrs old and I’ve been going every November for 50 more years. His funeral flowers are still there with the poppies ❤️‍🩹 All this before work! Just as well I got over half my steps done before work as unfortunately lunchtime walk plans had to be cancelled. Thankfully weather not wet, just windy and cold so I decided to walk to the furthest away train station to pick up my cub then walk home 🏡 Day2 - Total steps 10,338 #kingstrust50 #workingforyoungpeople #SupportYoungPeople #fundraiser #fundraising #FutureSteps
