I'm walking miles on Sunday 4 October to change young lives!
Hi everyone,
This year I've decided to take on a challenge that's meaningful to me in more ways than one. I'll be walking the Palace to Palace Half Marathon across London to raise money for The King's Trust, a charity that helps young people build the confidence, skills and opportunities they need to get into work.
With nearly a million young people in the UK currently out of work, The King's Trust provides life-changing support that helps break down barriers and create brighter futures. Knowing that this walk can contribute to giving someone a better chance in life makes every mile worthwhile.
But this challenge is also personal. Over the past year I've realised how important it is to make more time for exercise and look after my own wellbeing. Taking on this half marathon is my way of committing to a healthier lifestyle, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and proving that small, consistent steps can lead to positive change—both physically and mentally.
If you're able to, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could sponsor me. Every donation, no matter the size, will help The King's Trust continue supporting young people into education, training and employment. For example, £26 could cover the travel costs for a young person to attend a one-week King's Trust course, helping them gain valuable skills and work experience.
