Me VS 10,000 steps

For nearly 20 years I’ve been proud to be a mentor and supporter of The King’s Trust. Over that time, I’ve met many incredible young people, and from first-hand experience I truly understand the life-changing impact this charity has — giving confidence, skills, direction and hope to those who need it most.

This year marks The King’s Trust’s 50th anniversary, an extraordinary milestone. To help celebrate — and to give something back — I’ve decided to take on the Future Steps challenge, completing 10,000 steps every day throughout February while raising vital funds to support young people across the UK.

At a time when 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work — enough to form the country’s third biggest city — The King’s Trust is more important than ever. While this challenge is small compared to the obstacles many young people face, I believe that when we take part together, our combined small steps can make a truly big difference.

A donation of just £12 could fund a call to The King’s Trust helpline, helping a young person facing adversity access critical advice and support. Every penny raised will help break down barriers, open doors, and give young people the confidence and skills they need to build a future.

I’m also delighted that my wonderful current mentee is part of The King’s Trust campaign and even features on the £60 donation button — which makes this challenge feel even more personal.

By supporting me, you’re not just helping me reach my step goal — you’re helping to change a life and give someone a future. Thank you so much for any support you’re able to give.
