This Sunday 4 October I'm helping to change young lives

This Sunday 4 October, I will be taking part in Palace to Palace and raising fund for the King’s Trust.

The King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

Following a cost of living crisis and pandemic which impacted their education, early careers and wellbeing, there are now almost 1 million young people not currently in work, education or training.

Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace to Palace cycle ride and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide one young person with an inspiring two hours of work experience in a stable job in a thriving sector

My Palace to Palace Journey

Monday 28th Sep
Signing up for Palace to Palace always gives you that initial rush of excitement, followed pretty quickly by the thought: right, I actually have to cycle all those miles now. Whether you're taking on the Classic route or pushing yourself with the Ultra, heading out from the heart of London and finishing up at the festival in Battersea Park is going to be an unforgettable day.
Getting ready for it doesn't have to be overly complicated, though. The biggest thing is just making sure you're spending time in the saddle ahead of time so your legs get used to the distance. There's no substitute for simply getting out there on the weekends and building up your mileage step by step. It also helps to get your bike checked over a few weeks before the big day, the last thing you want is a surprise mechanical issue when you're lining up at the start.
On the day itself, remember to eat and drink before you actually feel hungry or thirsty, and keep your phone charged because you're definitely going to want photos along the way. Above all, take a moment to soak it in as you roll into Battersea Park. Every mile you pedal is helping The King's Trust support young people, which makes crossing that finish line feel even better.
