I'm cycling miles to change young lives from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle
On Sunday 6th October, I will be taking part in Palace to Palace and cycling 45 or 90 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle and raising fund for the King’s Trust.
The King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.
The recent Class of Covid report reveals almost half of young people in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with 59% agreeing it feels frightening for their generation. Findings suggest the impact of the pandemic and now a cost-of-living crisis is taking its toll on young people, as 45% agree anxiety around recent political and economic events affects them daily. More than a third (35%) feel their life is spiralling out of control, and for those from lower income backgrounds, this increases to 41%.
Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace to Palace cycle ride and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide a young person with an experienced youth worker for an hour, building their confidence, resilience and motivation during this time.

Thursday 12th SepTraining restart!
Tuesday 10th Sep So having been cruising for 16 nights with only 1 working bike in the gym (that was always in use), we came back after no training and having eaten far too much. Still doing the washing/unpacking, we squeezed in a quick 30min (6mile) cycle. We tried swapping bikes between Dexter and I and found each others more comfortable (plus extra parts ordered to be fitted soon!). I then broke a toe, so rested up a week, strapped it up and tried a spin class yesterday. It did throb a bit and actually hurt more when swimming after. Anyway, somehow we will do this ride, no matter how slow...1st Test run of the bike
Thursday 18th Jul So popped out at lunchtime for an hour and managed just under 14miles so quite pleased with that, especially as I did a spin class yesterday so my thighs were already screaming!Testing bike!
Thursday 18th Jul Well the old faithful bike has been brought out of the garage, tyres pumped and ready for a lunchtime test run...Thank you to my Sponsors
