I'm cycling miles to change young lives from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle

On Sunday 5th October, I will be taking part in Palace to Palace and cycling 45 or 90 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle and raising fund for the Prince’s Trust.

The Prince's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

The recent Class of Covid report reveals almost half of young people in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with 59% agreeing it feels frightening for their generation. Findings suggest the impact of the pandemic and now a cost-of-living crisis is taking its toll on young people, as 45% agree anxiety around recent political and economic events affects them daily. More than a third (35%) feel their life is spiralling out of control, and for those from lower income backgrounds, this increases to 41%.

Dear Family & Friends,

I’m cycling #PalacetoPalace to help change young lives, and this cause is very close to my heart.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to grow up with a loving, supportive family who shaped who I am today. They guided me to make the right choices, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and celebrated each step of my journey. That support gave me the confidence to build my career and keep moving forward with purpose.

But not every young person has this foundation. Many are unsure of the path they want to take, how to step into the working world, or how to keep going when obstacles arise. These young adults are our future, and I want them to have the same opportunities I had — so they can stay on the right path and create brighter futures for themselves.

Just £10 could fund a call to The King’s Trust helpline, giving a vulnerable young person the critical advice and support that could change their life.
