I am taking on 50,000 steps a week to end youth unemployment

I’m taking on Steps to Success in May for The King’s Trust – I will be doing 50,000 steps a week to help transform the lives of young people in the UK.

At a time when 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work – enough to form the UK’s third biggest city, The King’s Trust are committed to ending youth unemployment, and I’m doing my bit to support.

The money raised by taking on this challenge and fundraising for The King's Trust will make a positive difference for young people across the UK:

  • £12 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person to gain the critical advice they need.
  • £26 could cover the cost of travel for an isolated young person to attend a one-week King's Trust course, helping them build vital skills and gain valuable work experience.
  • £35 could help buy smart interview clothes to help a young person land a job.
  • £55 could provide a young person managing a struggling new business with expert mentoring.

So, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, walking, running or rolling, your money will go a long way in supporting the cause. Every step, and every penny, really does count. Please help me to support The King’s Trust and consider donating to my page.

Thank you.

My Updates

Steps to success

Saturday 2nd May
This month, I’m taking part in the King’s Trust Step for Success challenge with Santander - aiming to walk 50,000 steps every week, all in support of a cause that genuinely changes lives.

The King’s Trust helps young people across the UK build confidence, gain skills, and get into work. It’s not just about opportunity - it’s about giving people a proper shot at a future they can be proud of.

I’ve seen firsthand the impact this partnership can have. Previously, I worked on “You’re Hired,” a campaign designed to support and spotlight the incredible work being done. Now, I want to go one step further (literally) and contribute in a more personal way.

I’ve already started strong - 3,482 steps on day one - but I’ll be honest I need your help to reach my goal.

So if you’re able to support, even a small amount, it genuinely makes a difference. Every step I take is backed by something bigger - and every donation helps create real opportunities for young people who need it most.

Thanks for reading, and for any support you can give.
