I'm cycling miles to change young lives from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle
On Sunday, 6th October, I’ll be taking on the Palace to Palace challenge, cycling 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle to raise funds for The King’s Trust.
After some time away from cycling, I’ve recently been turning the pedals again, getting back into the rhythm. While there’s still work to do, I’m excited to take on this challenge whilst the rust comes off the chain!
The King’s Trust provides tailored programs and long-term support to help young people develop practical skills and emotional resilience, empowering them to create positive futures.
Recent findings from the Class of Covid report reveal the immense challenges facing young people today. Nearly half of young people in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with 59% expressing fear for their generation. The pandemic and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis have taken a heavy toll, with 45% saying anxiety around political and economic events affects them daily. More than a third (35%) feel their lives are spiralling out of control, a figure that rises to 41% among those from lower-income backgrounds.
By participating in this ride, I’m not just pushing my limits physically—I’m also supporting The King’s Trust in its vital mission to help young people overcome these challenges and build brighter futures.
Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace to Palace cycle ride and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide a young person with an experienced youth worker for an hour, building their confidence, resilience and motivation during this time.
