I'm cycling miles to change young lives from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle

On Sunday 5 October, I will be taking part in Palace to Palace and cycling the ultra 90 mile route from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle and raising fund for the King’s Trust.

The King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

Following a cost of living crisis and pandemic which impacted their education, early careers and wellbeing, there are now almost 1 million young people not currently in work, education or training.

Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace to Palace cycle ride and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide one young person with an inspiring two hours of work experience in a stable job in a thriving sector

My Updates

Completed ✔️

Sunday 5th Oct
Finished the Ultra today; Garmin have a time of 6 hours 7 minutes but await the final timing chip.

Stopped for approximately 35 minutes, longest at stop 3 - Surrey Hills was a killer.

Better late then never…!

Friday 26th Sep
Finally got my bike back from the mechanics; first ride in a month tomorrow, pray for good legs on Sunday 5 October…. 🤞

Back training but still not bike.

Tuesday 16th Sep
First cycling and running specific leg strengthening today after injury and Triathlon disappointment.

Bike still on the workshop… might be a bit nip and tuck, but chasing for the repair to be completed in time!!

Wednesday Disappointment.

Wednesday 27th Aug
After a physical injury on Monday and an unanticipated bike mechanical problem I am no longer able to compete in the Standard Distance (Olympic) Brighton & Hove Triathlon this coming Sunday.

Very disappointed since I have been ramping up the training for this and felt really strong.  This also now stops my training for the Ultra 140k Palace to Palace charity ride in October whilst I wait for my bike to be repaired.

Onwards and upwards!

Bike in the workshop/rest week

Sunday 24th Aug
Bike is in the workshop as my back break pistons are sticking; reduced activity until 31 August where I’ll then be doing the Olympic distance Triathlon in Bright & Hove.

Cycle training re-commences from 1 September 2025.

Ultra-Fundraiser!

Sunday 3rd Aug
This will be the second time I have ridden the Palace to Palace although originally I did the traditional route.

I have decided to challenge myself and  signed up for the Ultra which, on completion, will be my longest ride to date.

The Kings Trust is a great charity and I hope by challenging myself it will help those in a far more challenging position with the assistance of the Trust.

All the best and thank you for visiting and hopefully donating.
