Me VS 10,000 steps

At a time when 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work – enough to form the UK’s third biggest city! The King’s Trust are committed to ending youth unemployment, and I’m doing my bit to support.

I am taking on the Future Steps challenge – completing 10,000 steps a day throughout February and raising vital funds to support young people across the UK.

A donation of just £12 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a young person facing adversity to gain the critical advice they need.

Every penny raised will help break down barriers, open doors and support young people to build the confidence and skills they need to find work. Please consider donating to my page.

Thank you.

My Updates

Day 10 - mental reflection

Tuesday 10th Feb
No rest days! Whilst I’m used to spending a a day or two a week resting, this has not been the case during the challenge, keeping up the steps comes with physical challenge and mental reflection.

Day 6 - commute heaven

Friday 6th Feb
A committed hour walk home from work, dodging puddles. And the audio bible to carry me through. A new and refreshing way to wrap up my week!

Day 4 - casual observer

Wednesday 4th Feb
As I stroll through Wolloton Hall on a 7 degrees early afternoon lunch, lucky to have this place almost on my doorstep. Bringing an abundance of greenery and wildlife, I often visit to admire the free roaming Deer.

Day 2 - just beginning

Monday 2nd Feb
Today caught me off guard being the first day both working and having 10k steps in mind, getting those in when I spend most of my working day at a laptop proved to be my first challenge.
