I'm walking miles to change young lives
On Sunday 5th October, I will be taking part in The Palace Walk. I will be walking 13.1 miles around Windsor to help young people create a better future for themselves.
The King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.
Following a cost of living crisis and pandemic which impacted their education, early careers and wellbeing, there are now almost 1 million young people not currently in work, education or training, equivalent to the third largest city in the UK. At The Trust we know the devastating impact of unemployment on young people’s mental health, broader wellbeing, and confidence in achieving their aspirations in life.
Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace Walk and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide a young person with an experienced youth worker for an hour, building their confidence, resilience and motivation during this time.

Palace Walk 2025: Supporting Young Lives, One Step at a Time
Wednesday 3rd SepOn Sunday, 5 October 2025, I’ll be joining my amazing colleagues from Ricoh for the Palace Walk, part of The King's Trust’s iconic Palace to Palace event. This 13-mile walk winds through the historic and picturesque landmarks of Windsor. Together, we’re walking not just for the Sunday stroll—but for the causes and outcomes the Trust delivers for young people aged 11 to 30 who are:
- Facing mental health challenges
- Experiencing homelessness
- Leaving care
- Or navigating difficult circumstances like unemployment or trouble with the law
By taking part in this walk and fundraising, we’re helping these young people build brighter futures—through confidence, skills, education, and employment opportunities.
If you’d like to sponsor me or learn more about the cause, please visit my fundraising page: https://events.kingstrust.org.uk/fundraisers/jalalhaji/palace-walk
- £5 could cover a bus ticket for a young person to attend their first job interview
- £10 could fund a helpline call, offering vital advice to someone in crisis
- £15 could help equip a classroom with tools to re-engage young people in learning
