Not a Cyclist. Just Stubborn. 100 Miles on Sunday 4 October to change young lives!

Last year I bought a bike for one reason: to complete the Palace to Palace 42-mile ride for The King's Trust. I wasn't a cyclist then, and if I'm honest, I'm still not one now.

This year is The King's Trust's 50th anniversary, so I decided to double the distance and sign up for the 100-mile route.

I haven't been on my bike since last October. There are definitely easier ways to spend a weekend.

People often ask why I keep putting myself into situations that seem difficult... EBC, aerial, long-distance cycling. The answer is simple, I like finding out what I'm capable of. You learn far more about yourself when something asks more of you than you're comfortable giving.

I'm not aiming to be fast. I just want to keep going until I reach the finish. To me, that's what resilience looks like.

The King's Trust gives young people the chance to believe in themselves and create opportunities they may never have thought possible. If they can invest in other people's potential, then I can invest a few months of training and one very long day on a bike.

If you'd like to support the charity, every donation big or small goes towards helping more young people build a better future.

Thank you for following the journey. Hopefully I'll still be smiling at mile 100.
