Me VS 10,000 steps a day

I’m taking on the Future Steps challenge this February for The King’s Trust – taking on 10,000 steps a day to help transform the lives of young people in the UK.

From the cost of living crisis to an unprecedented lack of opportunity, young people face a range of difficulties in today’s society. The King’s Trust supports young people who have faced disadvantage and adversity to develop the confidence and skills they need to move into work, education and training. A donation of just £10 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person to gain the critical advice they need.

So for many 10,000 steps a day or 280,000 steps across February might not sound much of a challenge to some! For context in my office based job, as someone who doesn't partake in a lot of exercise, own a dog or anything else that would help increase that number,  my watch normally records around 5-6,000 steps on an average day during week days so somehow this challenge involves me finding time (and energy!) to improve that by upto 100% each day!

So, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, walking, running or rolling, it all goes toward supporting the cause. Every step, and every penny, really does count. Please help me to support The King’s Trust by donating to my page. Thankyou I really appreciate it!

My Updates

Starts tomorrow!

Friday 31st Jan
So starting tomorrow for 28 days - honestly not worried so much about weekends as will probably get a good few steps in by walking into town or along the seafront as weather is supposed to be dry - its the week days that concern me how to get enough steps in - anyway that is the challenge that I am up for , and hopefully whilst improving a little bit of fitness along the way can help in raising a few pounds for an awesome charity!
