Looking back, I can pinpoint the exact moments that changed my life – all because someone believed in me.
At five years old, I was painfully shy until my primary school teacher promised my worried mum, "Don't worry, she won't be when I'm finished with her."
At 13, my math teacher saw potential I didn't see in myself, encouraging me to enter a UK Math competition. At 14, an Air Cadets instructor believed I could be a leader, training me to become a kayaking and rock climbing instructor.
These early opportunities gave me the confidence at 16 to board my first solo train journey to a 3-day Army officer selection process at Welbeck College, where I earned a full scholarship to a school my family could never have afforded.
These moments weren't just opportunities – they were turning points that shaped who I am today.
That's why I'm cycling 90 miles for The King's Trust. Every young person deserves these life-changing opportunities to build confidence and develop essential skills. Your sponsorship can help make that happen.
