I’m walking the talk to help end youth unemployment.

On Sunday 11th October I’m walking and talking 20 miles along the River Thames, from Hampton Court to Buckingham Palace, to raise money for The King's Trust.

At a time when 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work – enough to form the UK’s third largest city - The King’s Trust are committed to ending youth unemployment. Together we can help to build a brighter future for young people across the UK.

  • A donation of £100 could cover a young person’s travel costs for their first month of employment, bridging the gap until they receive their first payslip.   

In the past 50 years, The King's Trust has helped over 1.4million young people. As The Trust celebrates its 50th anniversary, please consider supporting and donating to ensure their work can continue for at least another 50 years. Thank you.

I'm so happy England feels like home for your family! One of these visits I look forward to seeing you there. My grandfather came to the US as a German in Detroit, working in the auto industry after starting out at Mercedes Benz, even through the depression. So I always imagined careers can take one far. Because of anti German prejudice prior to US declaration of War, his boss sent him to work in London....he said the best times of his life (to my grandmother's chagrin). It afforded him the opportunity to say goodbye to his parents and feel even more like a global citizen... Before he returned to the states in 41/42. His stories, and now your 'newly' rooted life and career inspire me to support this initiative and today's aspiring youth.his journey started as a very young man with people who invested in him..
