I'm walking miles to change young lives
Back in December, Lynda, Elaine and I wrapped Christmas presents for young people who may not have otherwise received one. Now, we're back again (along with loads of other Sky Peeps!) getting ready to take a big walk to raise money for young people who need support in their early careers.
On Sunday 5th October, we will be taking part in The Palace Walk. We'll be walking 13.1 miles around Windsor to help young people create a better future for themselves.
Right now, over 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work – that’s enough to form our third-largest city. The money we raise will help young people to take control of their future.
The King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support to give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.
Following a cost of living crisis and pandemic which impacted their education, early careers and wellbeing, there are now almost 1 million young people not currently in work, education or training in the UK. At The Trust we know the devastating impact of unemployment on young people’s mental health, broader wellbeing, and confidence in achieving their aspirations in life.
Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace Walk and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide a young person with an experienced youth worker for an hour, building their confidence, resilience and motivation during this time.
