I'm walking miles to change young lives

On Sunday 5th October, I will be taking part in The Palace Walk. I will be walking 13.1 miles around Windsor to help young people create a better future for themselves.

The King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

Following a cost of living crisis and pandemic which impacted their education, early careers and wellbeing, there are now almost 1 million young people not currently in work, education or training, equivalent to the third largest city in the UK. At The Trust we know the devastating impact of unemployment on young people’s mental health, broader wellbeing, and confidence in achieving their aspirations in life.

Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace Walk and sharing my page. Just a £20 donation could provide a young person with an experienced youth worker for an hour, building their confidence, resilience and motivation during this time.

Why I’m Walking the Palace to Palace for The King’s Trust 💛

Monday 8th Sep

On 5th October, I’ll be joining my colleagues to take on the 13.1 mile Palace to Palace walk for The King’s Trust. This will be my second year taking part, and I’m aiming to raise even more than last year – because the cause means so much to me.

For me, this walk is about more than just miles. It’s about giving back to society. I’ve been fortunate in my life to have support when I needed it – whether from family, colleagues, or mentors. Their encouragement helped me find opportunities and push forward in my own endeavours. But I’m very aware that not everyone has that same safety net.

That’s why I’m passionate about supporting The King’s Trust. The charity helps young people who might otherwise slip through the cracks – giving them guidance, confidence, and real opportunities to build a brighter future. Every pound raised helps someone gain the support they deserve, and that can truly change a life.

Last year, thanks to the generosity of friends, family, and colleagues, I raised £265, which went directly towards helping a young person. This year, I’d love to go even further.

If you’re able, please consider donating to my page. Every single contribution – big or small – will make a difference. And knowing I have your support will keep me motivated every step of the 13.1 miles.

Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for helping me make a difference. Together, we can help create opportunities where they’re needed most.
