I'm walking miles to change young lives

On Sunday 5th October, I will be taking part in The Palace Walk. I will be walking 13.1 miles around Windsor to help young people create a better future for themselves.

While not the longest walk ever, as someone who thinks a "gym" is a food group in the "broccoli" category that is to be actively avoided. This is a personal challenge that will help me get a bit fitter, both physically and mentally, and get me back to myself that I have not felt since my sport playing days when bands like "Spice Girls" and "TLC" were topping the charts.

Now just a little about the cause...the King's Trust has tailored programmes and provides long-term support give young people the practical skills and emotional resilience to pick themselves back up and create their own positive futures.

Following a cost of living crisis and pandemic which impacted their education, early careers and wellbeing, there are now almost 1 million young people not currently in work, education or training, equivalent to the third largest city in the UK. At The Trust we know the devastating impact of unemployment on young people’s mental health, broader wellbeing, and confidence in achieving their aspirations in life.

Please help me to support The King's Trust by sponsoring my Palace Walk and sharing my page. A £13 donation (£1 a mile) would be great but even £7 donation (0.50p a mile) would help create some good in the world...like Tesco says "Every little helps"

Thanks and Happy Walking

John
