I'm fundraising for The King's Trust
On Sunday 6th October, I will be plodding 13.1 miles around Windsor. Why?
The recent Class of Covid report reveals almost half of young people
in the UK (49%) feel anxious about their future on a daily basis, with
59% agreeing it feels frightening for their generation. Findings suggest
the impact of the pandemic and now a cost-of-living crisis is taking
its toll on young people, as 45% agree anxiety around recent political
and economic events affects them daily. More than a third (35%) feel
their life is spiralling out of control, and for those from lower income
backgrounds, this increases to 41%.
As someone in all of these
percentages, I can confirm such things are the case. Things have become
really hard, and really scary. Everything has become more expensive,
more inaccessible, and more closed off than ever before.
You can help a little! Any donation is good and will help make a difference to the younger people whose lives have been fundamentally altered by global events out of their control. Life is hard for kids - let's make it easier for the youth of today so that they can be the pioneers of a better tomorrow.
