Day 4 – new friends and big wins
Today has been one for the books! Not only did I push myself physically, but I also had the chance to connect with some fantastic people along the way. One of the best parts of today was getting to know new people during a lunchtime walk with the Ecom team. It’s amazing how something as simple as walking can bring people together. We chatted and laughed, all while adding to our step count. It was a great reminder that fitness challenges aren’t just about personal achievements—they’re also about community and connection. After the work, the next challenge began with Step aerobics on the agenda, and I went all in! In just one session, I burned over 600 calories—a serious workout! The high-energy moves, combined with music and a great atmosphere, made it both intense and fun. There’s something so satisfying about pushing yourself and seeing the results. Day 4 Takeaways • Walking with others is a great way to stay motivated and make new friends. • Step aerobics is no joke—600+ calories in one session is proof! • The Future Steps Challenge is about more than just fitness; it’s about teamwork, encouragement, and stepping outside your comfort zone. I’m looking forward to seeing what Day 5 brings! If you’re taking part in the challenge too, how’s it going for you? Let’s keep stepping forward together! #FutureSteps #TheKingsTrust #StayActive #TeamworkDay 3: 10k steps & riot class with #warriorsmovement
Today was all about movement—physically, and mentally. I kicked off the day with my best bud, Loki, by smashing 5000 steps. There’s something about walking that clears the mind, fuels motivation, and reminds me why I started this journey. Next up was another inspiring session with Finance Footsteps, where a further 4K was achieved whilst spending time with my amazing Kings Trust team. To top it all off, I wrapped up the day with an incredible Riot class led by the fabulous #WarriorsMovement—an intense, high-energy session that left me feeling stronger than ever. Every rep, every bead of sweat, every challenge conquered was for a cause bigger than myself—the King’s Trust. Three days in, and the momentum is building. Bring on Day Four! #10KSteps #FinanceFootsteps #RiotClass #WarriorsMovement #KingsTrustWeekend walk
Getting my steps in with my little helpers this weekend!!!Day 2 - sunshine and sweet treats!
Day 2 of the Future Steps challenge brought beautiful sunshine—perfect weather for getting out and exploring! With my trusty 4 legged companion Loki, we set off on an adventure through the local area, making the most of the fresh air and blue skies. Our journey took us five miles, leading us straight to a well-earned reward—meeting Dad for a coffee and a delicious slice of cake. After a relaxing break and a catch-up, we laced up once more and headed home, feeling refreshed and accomplished. Every step counts towards supporting The King’s Trust, and today’s walk was a reminder that this challenge is just as much about enjoying the journey as it is about reaching the goal. Here’s to more sunny days, long walks, and, of course, a few well-deserved treats along the way! #FutureSteps #TheKingsTrust #WalkForACause #200degsDay 1 - off to a strong start!!!
Today marked the exciting beginning of the Future Steps challenge for The King’s Trust, and what a fantastic start it was! With a goal of walking as many steps as possible throughout February to support young people, day one was all about getting into the rhythm and setting a strong foundation for the journey ahead. Clocking in just shy of 15,000 steps, the day was filled with determination, fresh air, and a real sense of purpose. Joined by my wonderful husband and German Shepherd Loki every step counted towards making a difference. This challenge isn’t just about fitness—it’s about supporting The King’s Trust in helping young people build brighter futures. With 28 days ahead, the momentum is just getting started, and there’s plenty of motivation to keep moving. Here’s to many more steps, one day at a time! Stay tuned for updates and keep stepping forward for a great cause. #FutureSteps #TheKingsTrust #StepByStepFirst 10,000 steps done!
Beautiful country walk this morning to tick off Day 1 ☺️We're facing 10,000 steps a day in February
We are taking on the Future Steps challenge this February for The King's Trust – facing 10,000 steps a day to help transform the lives of young people in the UK.
From the cost of living crisis to an unprecedented lack of opportunity, young people face a range of difficulties in today’s society. The King's Trust is committed to helping them. Working in a variety of areas, including training, education and emotional wellbeing, to ensure that people from all backgrounds get the support they deserve. A donation of just £10 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person to gain the critical advice they need.
So, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, walking, running or rolling, it all goes toward supporting the cause. Every step, and every penny, really does count. Please help me to support The Kings’s Trust by sponsoring us and sharing our page.
