Million Makers July Update!
From Monday 1st July – Thursday 4th July, we celebrated launching this year’s competition with our first ever Fundraising Kick-Off Week, and what a week it was!
To support you on your fundraising journeys, we invited senior leaders and industry experts to deliver our Skills Sessions, Million Makers Alumni to host our online events and share their top-tips and invited some of you into our South London Centre to welcome you to the challenge.
Here is a recap of the Skills Sessions!
- How to Set Up Your Team For Success with the 2023 NBC Universal Team.
- How to Develop Confidence and Achieve Your Potential with Stefanie Sword-Williams, Founder and Author of F*ck Being Humble.
Stefanie Sword-Williams gave her top-tips on how to develop confidence, remain resilient and overcome the fear of failure. We loved hearing all of your positive feedback following Stefanie’s session.

- How to Build and Use Your Network to Successfully Achieve Your Goals with Maximillion Cooper, Founder and CEO of Gumball 3000.
We had a fireside chat with Maximillion Cooper, Founder and CEO of Gumball 3000, and Jeremy Itoje, our Atos Alumni winner of the 2019 National Competition and one of the 3 teams to have ever smashed £400k. They discussed the power of your networks, how to build them, engage them and utilise them to support your fundraising, as well as your development.
- How to Meet and Beat Your Targets with Ifrana Zaffar, Google, Fiona Simpson, AWS and Rob Hingston, Origin Workspace, hosted by Lewis Lane, NatWest Alumni.
‘Every Market has it’s Christmas!’ The experts discussed all things finance, how to budget, forecast, drive income growth, and scale up initiatives. Essential guidance that will support you on your fundraising journeys.
