How Joanna raised funds to help Change a Girl's Life with Feedzai's Women in Tech Network

08 Oct 2026

Looking for ways to fundraise at work? Joanna supported The Trust's Change a Girl's Life campaign by combining Brilliant Breakfast fundraising with panel events focused on professional development, inclusion and workplace challenges.

Alongside raising money through activities including charity raffles, the events have brought together Feedzai's colleagues,
customers and partners together for important conversations. Here's how she did it.

Two people stand side by side in a modern indoor venue with tiered wooden seating behind them. The seating area features navy cushions and patterned decorative pillows, with warm lighting built into each tier. Plants in rectangular planters line the upper level. One person wears a white short-sleeved patterned blouse and a dark skirt, while the other wears a blue suit and tie. The space has a light stone floor and contemporary furnishings.

What inspired you to fundraise for Change a Girl's Life?

As my career has progressed, supporting women in the workplace and championing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) has become increasingly important to me. That's why I love leading Feedzai’s Women in Tech network, creating opportunities for our colleagues, customers and partners to connect through regular events and discussions.

Supporting The King’s Trust Brilliant Breakfast was therefore a natural fit. The Change a Girl’s Life campaign's focus on helping young women gain the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to succeed in their careers closely aligns with Feedzai’s mission.

How have you raised funds through your Brilliant Breakfast?

One of the most successful fundraising activities at our Brilliant Breakfast events has been hosting a charity raffle. We reached out to our partners to secure some great prize donations.

The raffles have been
a great way to encourage engagement with the cause and also maximise the amount of money we raise in support of The King’s Trust Change a Girl’s Life campaign.

What was your favourite part about hosting a Brilliant Breakfast?

There’s been a few!

We’ve hosted a number of Brilliant Breakfast panel events over the years. Each one has focused on professional development, inclusion or societal challenges. A few of my favourite have been:

  • In 2023, we brought people together for 'Empowering Women in Financial Services', exploring the challenges women face in the workplace and sharing practical ways to create more inclusive career pathways.
  • In 2025, we hosted 'Unmasking Scams: Stories, Strategies and Solutions', an unforgettable discussion featuring Cecilie Fjellhøy, Claire Bheepathee and Sarah Edmonds.
  • Most recently, in 2026, attendees heard from behavioural change expert Jez Rose, who introduced his RESET framework: Recognise, Engage, Simplify, Evolve, Trust. The session offered practical insights into building stronger workplace relationships and navigating communication with greater confidence.

What makes these events so memorable isn't just the calibre of the speakers. It's the opportunity to bring together people who are passionate about professional growth, inclusion and creating opportunities for others, while raising funds to help young women build brighter futures.
