A Conversation with Mary Portas OBE

Celebrating International Women's Day

The Barbary Notting Hill

4 March 2026, 12 – 3.30pm

Mary Portas OBE hardly needs an introduction. A renowned businesswoman, broadcaster, activist and author, she has spent decades reshaping how we think about retail, leadership and the role of business in society.

On Wednesday 4 March, Mary joins Studio Paskin founder Zoë Paskin and writer, comedian and cultural critic Viv Groskop at The Barbary Notting Hill for a special International Women’s Day In Conversation and lunch.

Zoë Paskin says, “In recent months, I’ve been leaning into peer groups (WPO) and realising how much support –even solidarity – there is. Through connecting with other women whose paths have been both similar to and very different from my own, I’ve really experienced the value of collaboration. I want the event to encourage all of us to lean into this more, either by fundraising directly or, more immediately, within our networks and organisations.”

This event raises funds for The King’s Trust Change a Girl’s Life campaign, supporting young women with the resources, confidence and opportunities they need to achieve their ambitions and build a brighter future. This chimes in with the spirit of the event: to encourage greater collaboration and kindness, and help one another rise up.

A minimum charitable donation of £20 per ticket is required, or a discretionary larger contribution is encouraged.
