Me VS 10,000 steps

I’m taking on the Future Steps challenge this February for The King’s Trust – taking on 10,000 steps a day to help transform the lives of young people in the UK.
From the cost of living crisis to an unprecedented lack of opportunity, young people face a range of difficulties in today’s society. The King’s Trust supports young people who have faced disadvantage and adversity to develop the confidence and skills they need to move into work, education and training. A donation of just £10 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person to gain the critical advice they need.
So, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, walking, running or rolling, it all goes toward supporting the cause. Every step, and every penny, really does count. Please help me to support The King’s Trust by donating to my page.

Thanks for your support!

Sunday 26th Jan
I believe the power of walking is overlooked.

Walking is a mood reset. It calms. It energises.

Hitting a metaphorical brick wall with motivation or a problem?

Get outside and move forwards, physically. It gives that sense of making progress, whilst cleansing the mind.

What is it about walking?

For me: its activity, number one - gets the blood going and oxygen in.

Number two, it allows you to change your state from stress, anxiety, frustration, boredom - into possiblity.

And thirdly, it's so easy! Whatever the weather, where ever you are, it is accessible. It's free! Walk. Walk up the stairs. Walk down the street. Walk around the park. Anywhere.

So, February is the month of the Future Steps campaign.

Simply, walk an average of 10,000 steps a day to support raising money for The King's Trust. Sounds straightforward.

But, what is your average?

Mine is a disappointing 6,000 this year.

I will greatly appreciate your support to get this beyond 10k and subsequently give something back to those that need it most.

Every little helps, right?
