Me VS 10,000 steps

I’m taking on the Future Steps challenge this February for The King’s Trust – taking on 10,000 steps a day to help transform the lives of young people in the UK.
From the cost of living crisis to an unprecedented lack of opportunity, young people face a range of difficulties in today’s society. The King’s Trust supports young people who have faced disadvantage and adversity to develop the confidence and skills they need to move into work, education and training. A donation of just £10 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person to gain the critical advice they need.
So, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, walking, running or rolling, it all goes toward supporting the cause. Every step, and every penny, really does count. Please help me to support The King’s Trust by donating to my page.

My Updates

Day 2

Monday 3rd Feb
Today was a busy day with few store visits in Miami area! Good opportunity to walk these steps and realize how the whole company is tracking its steps and game on!

Day 1

Saturday 1st Feb
taking advantage of a business trip and being on my own in NY to do a long walk through Manhattan and accross bridges over the Hudson River, before a flight to Miami and store visits tomorrow!

How am I going to do this?

Wednesday 29th Jan
Few ideas:
1. Set up walk time in my busy diary - they can be used to take calls instead of seat
2. Not be alone, walk with others and plan this. Surprising how positive everyone is to go on a walk
3. Go back to running - a good way to do my monthly and weekly sport quota and manage time/steps count efficiently!
4. Replace my means of transportation for my commute. Leave earlier and walk - anticipate and do stuff while walking to maximise my time such as calling family or friends on my way to/fr work
5. Plan family activities and time outdoor - kids love it and don’t mind the outdoor and the cold in the UK! Studies show that kids don’t spend enough time outdoors anymore
6. Walk hand in hand with my wife and discover on the weekend a new part of london or a new town!

And you?

Good cause! Wish you good outcomes! Was recently in Watford and saw another side of society not as blessed as us.
