Future Steps

107,110 steps

Target steps

Me VS 10,000 steps

At a time when 900,000 young people in the UK are out of work – enough to form the UK’s third biggest city! The King’s Trust are committed to ending youth unemployment, and I’m doing my bit to support.

I am taking on the Future Steps challenge – completing 10,000 steps a day throughout February and raising vital funds to support young people across the UK.

A donation of just £12 could fund a call to The King's Trust helpline, enabling a young person facing adversity to gain the critical advice they need.

Every penny raised will help break down barriers, open doors and support young people to build the confidence and skills they need to find work. Please consider donating to my page.

Thank you.

My Updates

Day one: and we’re off (slowly, but surely!) 🏃‍♀️🐾

Sunday 1st Feb
Today marks Day One of my 10,000 steps a day challenge in support of the King’s Trust, and I’m officially underway! 🎉 Now, I’ll be honest — it’s been a slow start. No dramatic sunrise sprint or heroic power walk just yet. But every journey has to begin somewhere, right? The good news? Steps are everywhere if you’re willing to look for them. First up: the dogs. Those leads aren’t going to walk themselves, and judging by the eager faces at the door, there was no chance of skipping that. A few laps around the neighbourhood, lots of sniffing stops, and plenty of tail wagging later — boom, steps in the bank. 🐕🐕 Then there’s the house. Turns out hoovering is basically an underrated fitness activity. Back and forth, room to room, up the stairs, down the stairs — who knew domestic chores could feel so virtuous and help the step count? The carpets are clean, and my tracker is quietly cheering me on. 🧹✨ So while today might not have been fast or flashy, it was real, achievable, and exactly how this challenge is meant to start. This isn’t about perfection — it’s about building momentum, one walk, one chore, one step at a time. Day one: done. 10,000 steps a day, here we come — slowly, enthusiastically, and with a lot of dog walks along the way. 💪👟 Onwards! 🚶‍♀️🎯
